About this role.

As a Technical Account Manager, you are responsible for maintaining and expanding customer relationships within industrial automation and OT cybersecurity. You work closely with clients to translate their technical challenges into suitable solutions.

iAUTOMATION and OT Security Hub develop and deliver automation and cybersecurity solutions for industrial processes. We work with clients in industries such as pharmaceuticals, energy, chemicals, and food production. Our projects range from new builds and upgrades to migrations, service activities, and securing industrial networks and OT environments.

In this role, you combine account management with developing new business. You engage with technical managers, IT/OT specialists, procurement, and executive leadership to understand their challenges and, together with our engineers, develop the right solutions.

You work according to a consultative sales approach, helping customers improve their automation, infrastructure, and cybersecurity. Technical proposals are developed in close collaboration with our engineering team.

What will you do?

In this role, you are responsible for maintaining and further developing relationships with existing customers, while also focusing on acquiring new clients within the industrial sector.

You identify opportunities in automation, upgrades, and cybersecurity, and turn them into concrete business opportunities. Together with engineers, you translate customer needs into technical solutions tailored to their specific requirements.

You prepare and present technical proposals and quotations in a clear and convincing way. You manage the entire sales process, from the first contact to closing the deal.

During both the proposal and project phases, you work closely with engineering teams to ensure the best possible solutions. You also represent iAUTOMATION and OT Security Hub at client meetings and industry events, actively contributing to strengthening our market position.

What knowledge and experience do we ask for?

You have an HBO level of working and thinking, for example in:

  • Technical Business Administration
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Industrial Automation
  • Commercial Economics
  • or a comparable field

In addition, you have at least three years of experience in a technical or commercial role.

You have a strong interest in industrial automation, IT/OT, and cybersecurity. With your strong communication skills, you can translate technical challenges into clear and practical solutions for customers.

You work independently, take initiative, and have a proactive mindset. You are fluent in both Dutch and English.

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus: industrial automation, PLC/SCADA systems, IT/OT infrastructures, industrial networks, and cybersecurity within industrial environments.
