The iAUTOMATION data collector is a device created by iAUTOMATION for data logging in processes where there is no easy way of storing data in a database. With the data collector we have developed a fully programmable device which has security built into its core. Due to the programming options, the data collector can collect data from any PLC or sensor and store it onto its database, the data points can be visualised through web access, which will take you to a rich visualisation system built in our device. The device can not only read data, it can also be programmed to write data, which makes it perfect as a protocol converter or intermediate for PLC migrations.

iAUTOMATION Data Collector High Speed

In case you have a high speed process or would like to do trip analysis on a turbine or other high speed equipment, the iAUTOMATION Data collector High speed might be the solution you are looking for. With polling speeds of 10ms, the data collector high speed can help you to collect data point from any high speed system. The collected data can then be transferred onto a iAUTOMATION Data visualiser which can help you to analyse the data from one or multiple data collector high speed devices. The Data collector high speed does not have an internal visualisation system due to the processing time being fully allocated to run the collection process at the highest speed possible.

iAUTOMATION Data collector Advanced

If you need image processing capabilities and convert that into process automation data, the data collector advanced can help you to do just that. With the data collector advanced we offer a local data collector and machine learning / artificial intelligence processor in one. The data collector advanced can use its machine learning capabilities to read data pattern and make a decision based on them, whether it is visual information of trends/mapped data, the machine learning interface can help you make a decision. Based on the image processing we can for instance lock down a machine when someone gets to close to it, or set an alarm in the operator visualisation system when a particular condition or pattern is recognised. This allows for less sensors and wiring to be required, and processing of a single camera to replace many electrical signals.

IIOT Studio

To program all these devices, the iAUTOMATION IIOT Studio engineering tool is required. With an automated scan and device recognition system. It is easy to integrate a new device into you IIOT Framework. You can easily and securely setup all the connections, create logic charts and download the information to the device from a central location. Due to the advanced RSA encryption, the data commands between the devices and the IIOT Studio can not be ready be 3rd party systems, and so there is no chance that your data will be read by anybody listening in. This make the system perfect to run on semi private networks or public networks like GSM or 4G/5G.

iAUTOMATION solution

iAUTOMATION Data collectors have 3 different versions, they have their own area of application and are well suited for use in remote locations. The IIOT Studio engineering system will allow you to safely configure the data collector of choice and can handle up to 20 data collectors. Each data collector can be licensed with a multitude of protocols, and will be able to read and write 500+ tags per data collector. The data collectors will read the data, and save it in their onboard database where it can then be visualised using the onboard visualisation toolkit. The data can also be forwarded to an iAUTOMATION data visualisation system or iAUTOMATION data server, there will store the data for much longer then the iAUTOMATION data collector can.
