iAUTOMATION IIOT Studio

IIOT Studio is an engineering tool which allows you to configure the behaviour and data communication for the iAUTOMATION IIOT Data collector,  Data Visualiser, Gateway, Data collector Advanced and Data server. These devices can be used to create a simple data collection system, but also be part of a very complex data analytics and processing system. With the IIOT Studio engineering tool, creating a high speed data coverter from any PLC to any IT protocol is very easy, and can be setup by engineers who know PLC programming. The IIOT Studio will even allow for small processes to be controlled by the IIOT data collectors, and so small localised process will not need a PLC at all any more.

IIOT Data collector high speed for turbo machinery

In some cases you will need high speed data from a PLC to be monitored and save for analyses, on an Industrial Turbine for instance. iAUTOMATION Data collector high speed will do just the for you. The data collector from any PLC can be done at 10ms refresh rates, and can be stored locally on the device, or on a central data visualiser or data server. These collected signals can then be evaluated using our visualisation system, in case the turbine experienced a trip. iAUTOMATION data collector high speed will not allow for onboard visualisation like the data collector does, but it will read data at very high speeds, to make sure you can monitor every single value change during trip or start up analysis. With the iAUTOMATION data visualiser, you will be able to very quickly see and interpret all data coming from an iAUTOMATION data collector, in real time, and historically.

iAUTOMATION data collector devices

iAUTOMATION has a range of data collector device which can be programmed by using the IIOT Studio. These devices have onboard drivers which can be used to connect different types of equipment, and read or write signals in that equipment. For instance a PLC can be read or written to, but also a smart device or IOT sensor can be used as a data source. You are also able to execute small IO control loops, so a Remote Terminal Unit can be replaced by a single iAUTOMATION data collector, which will save all the read data, but also do small in the field actions if programmed. This is why the iAUTOMATION data collector is very well suited for the water and oil and gas industries. As a device placed along a pipeline, the iAUTOMATION data collector and data collector advanced will give you more insight in the behaviour of the pipeline, but can be used for protection and monitoring of the site itself.

Secure

The IIOT Studio communicates with all device on a secured and encrypted communication line. This allows the devices to be placed in the field and have communication on GSM or any public network. Because the iAUTOMATION devices are programmed to only build communication to the certificate holding IIOT Studio, and then base their programming session based on RSA2048 encrypted communication, a secure link can be established between the IIOT Studio system and the attached Data collectors. The data between data collector and data visualiser, data gateway and data server is also made secure by using certificate based encryption. So the communication system cannot be intercepted and read by any 3rd party device.

iAUTOMATION IIOT Framework

Using the iAUTOMATION IIOT Studio and the data collector devices will allow you to easily configure a data collection, control and conversion systems. The IIOT Studio, engineering system will allow you to configure the tags and drivers in the data collectors, and also connect the input tags to output tags though logic blocks. You could convert any PLC tag into an OPC UA tag or Modbus TCP, or you can covert one PLC tag into another PLC tag converting any protocol into any other. This could help in control system migrations or upgrade. The IIOT data collector are specially created to gather data from a process by reading sensors or PLCs, and then storing the data for easy visualisation by using the internal visualisation toolkit that comes with every Data collector.
